AMD Recruitment 2021: Assistant, Technician, Driver, Security Guard Vacancy


Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research recently released a notification for filling up the various positions. The notification is for filling up the 124 posts. Out of which 36 posts are for scientific assistant, 41 for technicians, 16 for upper division clerk, 18 posts for security guard, and 13 posts for the driver.

Age / Eligibility Criteria

Scientific Assistant-B (Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Electronics/Instrumentation, Computer Science/IT, Electrical, Civil)

  • B. Sc Degree in PMG/relevant subjects with 60% marks
  • Age limit for General candidates: 30, OBC: 33, ST: 35, EWS: 30, SC: 35
  • Pay scale will be 35,400/ INR- Level 6

Technician B (Physics/Electronics/ Instrumentation, Laboratory, Plumber, Binding, Printing, Drilling)

  • 10th with 60% marks and relevant ITI certification
  • Age limit for General candidates: 25, OBC: 28, ST: 30, EWS: 25, SC: 30
  • Pay scale will be 21,700/- INR- Level 3

Upper Division Clerk

  • Degree from a recognized university
  • 30 WPM in English
  • Age limit for General candidates: 27, OBC: 30, ST: 32, EWS: 27, SC: 32
  • Pay scale will be 22500/- INR- Level 4

Driver

  • 10th Pass
  • Valid driving license
  • 3 years of experience in driving a heavy vehicle
  • Knowledge of the motor mechanism
  • Age limit for General candidates: 27, OBC: 30, ST: 32, EWS: 27, SC: 32
  • Pay scale will be 19900/- INR- Level 2

Security Guard

  • 10th Pass
  • Ex-police- central certification
  • Minimum Height: 167 Cms for male and 157 for female
  • Chest: 80-85 Cms
  • Age limit for General candidates: 27, OBC: 30, ST: 32, EWS: 27, SC: 32

Application fee

Scientific Assistant- B: 200 INR

Rest of the positions: 100 INR (Technician, Upper Division Clear, Driver, Security Guard)

Note: There will not be any fee for SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/PWD. /Women candidate

How to Apply?

  • Candidates need to apply through the online portal: https://i-register.in/amethystreg21/Home.html
  • The candidate needs to click on recruitment first then apply for the trade-in in which he is interested and received relevant education by filling up required details and uploading relevant documents. 
  • After submission candidates need to take the printout of the application form. The application form will be needed after selection. Therefore, the candidate must keep the photocopy. 
  • Candidates need to submit one application separately for anyone post. The application will be considered for more than one trade. 
  • Applications are invited online only. Other applications will not be entertained.

Scientific assistant-B

  • Written Examination 
  • Interview

The pattern of written paper will be:

Number of Questions-100- 300 Marks 






Negative Marking: 1 mark for each wrong answer

Duration of Examination: 2 hours

Technician-B (All discipline)

There will be two tests preliminary test and an advanced test. Candidates who will qualify for the preliminary test will be eligible to sit in the advanced test. Below mentioned will be a pattern of the test:

Stage-1 Preliminary Test

Number of Questions-50- 150 Marks 

Negative Marking: 1 mark for each wrong answer

Duration of Examination: 1 hour

Stage-2 Advanced Test

Number of Questions-50- 150 Marks 

Negative Marking: 1 mark for each wrong answer

Duration of Examination: 2 hours

Note: Merit list will be made based on the marks secured in the Advanced test

Stage 3- Skills test

Upper Division Clerk

  • Level 1 -objective type paper
  • Level 2- Descriptive Paper

The minimum qualifying score is 50% aggregate for UC candidates and 40% for OBC/SC/ST/PH. Below is a pattern for the paper:

Level 1 -objective type paper

  • General English: 25 questions
  • General Knowledge: 25 Questions
  • General reasoning and Intelligence: 25 questions
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions

Number of Questions-100- 300 Marks 

Negative Marking: 1 mark for each wrong answer

Duration of Examination: 2 hours

Level 2- Descriptive Paper

Descriptive test paper: Part A will be comprehension, English grammar, and precise and Part B will be an essay, drafting

Number of Questions-NA -100 Marks

Negative Marking: No Negative Marking

Duration of Examination: 3 hours

Driver

Level-1 (Written Examination)

Level-2 (Driving Test)

Selection will be based on marks attained in both tests

Level-1 (Written Examination) 

The pattern of written examination will be:

  • General Hindi and English
  • General Awareness
  • General intelligence
  • Elementary Mathematics
  • Driving Techniques

Level-2 (Driving Test)

Driving test of the heavy vehicle

Security Guard

Physical Endurance Test: 100meter run, long jump, Chin-ups, pushups, and Sit-ups

Written test: There will be a written test of 75 marks and 90 minutes will be given to complete the paper. Final selection will be done as per the marks secure in the written examination. The pattern for the paper is given below:

  • Comprehension: 25 Marks
  • General Awareness: 25 Marks
  • Analytical Mathematics: 25 Marks
