The opening date for registration and submission of the application form for Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is 05th July 2023 at 10:00 AM and the closing date for the same is 26th July 2023 up to 5:00 PM.

Eligibility Criteria

The required qualification for the post of ASRB Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Recruitment 2023 is that the candidate must hold a PhD in relevant subjects such as Agricultural Entomology, Agricultural Microbiology, Economic Botany and Plant Genetic Resources, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Biochemistry, Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology etc. Candidates can check annexure VI in official notification for detailed information. 

Age Limit and Criteria

The candidates who are interested in the post must be of minimum 21 years of age but not more than 35 years as of 01.01.2023. Relaxation is also given to certain categories as below:

1. Candidates working in the service of ICAR have an age relaxation of up to 45 years maximum as of 01.01.2023. 
2. Candidates in-service of Agricultural Universities are allowed an age limit of less than 38 years as on 01.01.2023
3. A maximum of 5 years relaxation for SC or ST candidates. 
4. A maximum of 3 years relaxation for Other Backward Classes candidates.
5. A maximum of 10 years of relaxation for PwBD candidates.

Selection Process

The selection process for the post of ARS 2023 will be as follows:

1. Written examination (Pen/Paper) mode – 300 marks
2. Research Accomplishment – 40 marks
3. Personal Interview – 60 marks

The whole process is of 400 marks after which a merit list will be created. Candidates must note that the selected candidates for the post will be called accordingly as per the requirement.

Salary Detail

The salary for the post of Agricultural Research Service (ARS) – 2023 in Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) ranges from 15,600-39,100 with RGP of *6000/- (Revised Pay Level 10-57,700-1,82,400).
