Cochin Shipyard Limited released notification for filling up the posts of Executive Trainees. There will be 70 positions in the different fields. Here are the details for the same:

Civil-2 posts, Electrical-19, Electronics-2, Mechanical-37, Naval Architecture- 6, Information Technology- 2, Human Resource- 2. From these 70 posts, 5 posts are reserved for the PWD candidates.

Start Date of Application: 6th October 2021

End Date of Application: 27th October 2021

Age Criteria

The upper age limit is 27 years 

Relaxation will be given to the candidate as per below mentioned:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PWD: 10 years

General candidates: 750 INR + Bank Processing Charges

SC/ST/PwBD: No fee

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have a relevant degree with 65% marks from the recognized university

Candidates applying for IT post must have valid certification in programming

After that candidate needs to submit the required fee and finally submit the filled application form.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates need to go for one-year training in which candidates will be paid 50000 stipends for the year. The training can extend beyond normal working hours. On government holidays candidates will be paid an additional stipend of 3000 INR. After completing the training pay scale of the candidate will be: 

Basic pay: 40000

DA: 9280

HRA: 6400

Perks and Allowances: 14000

Other Benefits: 42501

Total: 1,12,181 Per month

Selection procedure

Phase-1 Objective type questions test- 60 Marks

Phase 2- Group Discussion- 10 Marks

            Writing Skills- 10 Marks

            Personal Interview- 20 Marks

A merit list will be made as per the marks obtained in phase 1. Those candidates will be shortlisted for the Phase-2 round. After Phase-2 merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Phase-2. 

Service agreement

Selected candidates need to execute a service agreement with the organization for 5 years. The service agreement will be 5 lakhs for violating the agreement as liquidated damages.
