About Job

The person recruited for posts under the Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) Bihar Police Constable 2023 will be given responsibility for handling and supervising locally the investigation of all cases under his circle which may comprise one or more police Stations. Also, he or she will be responsible for the prevention/ detection of crime within their circle.

Important Dates

The opening date for registration and submission of the application form for CSBC Bihar Police Constable 2023 will start on 20.06.2023 and the closing date for online application is on or before 20.07.2023.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates must have below qualifications for the post:

1. Candidates must have a minimum qualification of 10 + 2 or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
2. Candidates must have a permanent residential address in Bihar.
3. Candidates should have good moral character and sound mental and physical health.
4. Candidates must have proficiency in Hindi and English languages.
5. Candidates must be Indian citizens.
6. Candidates must meet the specified height, chest measurements, and weight requirements as mentioned in the recruitment notification.

Age Criteria

The candidates who are interested in the post must be between 18 to 23 years as of 01.07.2023. , the age limit prescribed above shall be increased by five years in respect of candidates belonging to Backward Classes, Backward Class Muslims, Most Backward Classes or Denotified Communities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Destitute widows of all castes. Relaxation in age and educational qualifications is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection Process

Candidates who have applied and are eligible for the CSBC Recruitment 2023 Police constable will have to go through 4 steps of selection i.e:

1. Written examination (CBT).
2. Physical Performance and Standards Test.
3. Document Verification.
4. Medical Examination.

Salary Detail

The selected candidate for the post of Police constable will be listed under the pay scale of Level 1 i.e. a minimum of Rs.21,700 to Rs.69,100 per month. Apart from this Dearness Allowance and HRA at rates of 17% and 8–16%.
