DU SOL Admission 2021-22 – The students who want take admission in the DU SOL will be able to apply for the same online soon. As per the recent speculations, the university should start accepting admission applications from July 2021 and should last till August 2021. The students can visit the online portal of DU SOL and can submit the application form to get the admission done in their respective courses. It is crucial that the students should go through the eligibility criteria and the documents that have to be submitted carefully so that the admission procedure is conducted in a much smoother way.

DU SOL Admission Eligibility

While getting admission to DU SOL, one of the most important things to take care of is the eligibility criteria.

Though DU SOL may not conduct any entrance tests for admission, the university definitely allows candidates to get admission based on the merit list. The eligibility criteria for undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be different.

  • DU SOL UG Admission Eligibility Criteria:

To get admission in any of the undergraduate courses, the students should have completed their Class 12th with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate. Now, there can be special courses such as B.Com Honours where the eligibility of the students should be above 60% in Class 12. Similarly, in subjects such as B.A. English Honours, the student must have scored about 75% in English subject of Class 12th board exam. Hence, it is important that the students should check through the cutoff marks that the university is asking for each of the courses.

  • DU SOL PG Admission Eligibility Criteria:

Now for the postgraduate courses, the mandatory eligibility is that the candidate should have passed graduation from a reputed university. Now, similar to the undergraduate courses, different postgraduate courses may also have different requirements in terms of merit. So, the candidates should check out the cutoff that they require to show in their graduation marks to get admission in any of the postgraduate courses in DU SOL.

When you have cross-checked with the eligibility criteria, you also need to check through the documents that you need to upload while submitting the application form online. Here are the crucial documents that you should keep ready while filling up the online form.

  • Scanned copy of your latest passport size photograph and your signature
  • Self-attested copies of your certificates and marksheets according to the course in which you are getting admission such as Class 10th and 12th documents for UG course while an additional graduation document for PG course.
  • Scanned migration certificate for students who have passed their Class 12th or Graduation from universities of other states apart from Delhi.
  • Self-attested certificate copy for reservation if it is applicable
  • Self-attested certificate of income proof if you are applying for financial support for your education at the university.

DU SOL Admission Procedure 2021-22

After you have arranged all the necessary documents, it is finally time to start your admission application procedure when the university declares the application submission date.

The students have to apply for getting admission to DU SOL in a few different steps.

  • DU SOL Online Registration

The very first step is online registration where the candidates need to get registered first on the online portal of DU SOL.

Step – 1 – First visit the portal https://web.sol.du.ac.in/home and search for the option New Registration, which comes up after the university starts the registration for new students.

Step – 2 – Under New Registration, first you have to select New Applicant Sign Up.

Step – 3 – Next, you have to provide your details on the page of Create New Account.

Step – 4 – Create your password and register.

After you have completed your registration, the student needs to log in using the username and password provided through email to complete the rest of the application procedure.

  • DU SOL Application Form Fillup

After you have logged into the student portal of DU SOL, you need to fill up the application form.

Step – 1 – Fill in your personal details.

Step – 2 – Next, provide your academic details.

Step – 3 – Go through the entered details carefully and click on Submit to go to the next tab.

  • DU SOL Course Selection

After you have completed filling up your application form, you have to select the course that you wish to apply for. Usually, students apply for one course, but if you wish, you can also apply for more than one particular course at a time. Normally, you should have gone through the entire course list beforehand and have decided which course to go for. But you can once again have a look at the list of courses available to finally decide upon the exact course that you wish to apply for.

  • DU SOL Admission Documents Upload

Now when you have filled in the application form and have selected the course, it is time to upload the required documents online. You have to submit all documents that are mentioned in this article. While uploading the documents, you need to take care of some important pointers.

Pointer – 1 – The photograph that you are uploading should have a pixel height of 120 and a pixel width of 100. It should be in JPG format and the size should be between 4KB to 24KB.

Pointer – 2 – The pixel height of your scanned signature should be 60 and the pixel width should be 40 while the size of this JPG format document should be between 1KB to 12KB.

Pointer – 3 – Other documents such as marksheets, certificates, and others should be in PDF format and should not be more than 2MB.

  • DU SOL Admission Fee Payment

The last step is fee payment for the application form that you are submitting. The amount of the application form is different depending upon the reservation that you enjoy in the society.

  • The unreserved candidates or the candidates belonging to the OBC section have to pay a fee structure of Rs. 500/-.
  • Candidates coming from reserved sections of SC, ST, or PWD gets a relaxation in the fee amount and have to make a payment of Rs. 250/-.

After all the steps are successfully completed, the confirmation page displays on the screen that you have to download and keep safe.

Soon, you should get an email from the university regarding your DU SOL ID card and payment receipt. On the receipt, you will get your DU SOL Barcode that you will be using to log into your student portal of DU SOL from next time onwards.
