Himachal Pradesh Police has released the notification to fill the 1334 positions. Out of the positions 932 vacancies are for male constable, 311 are for the female and the rest are for the drivers. The candidates can fill their applications through the website from 1st October. Here is further detail about the recruitment drive.

- The candidate should be a resident of Himachal Pradesh
- Candidate should possess a minimum qualification that is 10+2
- Minimum height in case of the male should be SC/ST 5’4”, GC and OBC are 5’6” and in the case of female SC/ST is 5’0”, GC and OBC are 5’2”.
- Minimum chest for Male candidate only is SC/ST is 29” *30”, General and OBC candidate is 31” *32”
- Qualification for appointment of Constable reserved for ex-serviceman category is Matric
Age for General candidates is 18 to 25 years, for OBC 18 to 27 and SC/ST 18 to 27 years. In addition to this age limit for Gurkhas, Distinguished sportsmen (GC/OBC, SC/ST, and Gorkhas) is 18 to 27 years. For Home Guards GC, OBC, SC/ST, and Gorkhas are 20 to 28 years.
The cutoff date for age for all categories: 31st October 2021.
HP Police Constable Salary & Pay Scale
The pay scale for the positions is Rs. 5910-20200+Grade pay Rs. 1900 (Initial start Rs. 7810). After 18 years of service, it would be 10300-34800+Rs. 3200 Grade pay.
GC/Gorkhas/ Home Guard (GC/Gorkhas) = 300 INR
SC/ST/OBC/BPL/EWS, Women, Home Guard (OBC/SC/ST) = 150 INR
Payment can be submitted online and offline mode. To submit payment online candidate, have to go on the HP Police Department Website and for offline mode, the candidate can submit the fee in any SBI branch.
HP Police Registration – How to apply
Willing candidates can apply through the online platform citizenportal.hppolice.gov.in from 1st October 2021.
There are six stages of recruitment.
Stage 1: Submission of application form
Stage 2: Notification of recruitment schedule + place
Stage 3: Physical test (Candidate who qualify physical test will be sent forward for stage 4)
Height marks are given as per the table shown below:
Stage 4: Physical efficiency test
Stage 5: Written examination- 80 Marks
Stage 6: Document verification and Marks for special certifications
There will be 80 marks written test which consists of 16 questions for each English question, Hindi, General Awareness, Mathematics and Science, and Reasoning Aptitude. All subjects are of 10+2 standard except mathematics will be 10th standard.
The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST are 40% and all other categories are 50%.
The final merit list of the candidate will be based on Height (5 marks), Written test (80 Marks), and documents evaluation (15 marks) = 100 Marks
