Johannesburg Super Kings is among the top 6 teams participating in SA20 League 2023. The Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited (CSKCL) has taken part in the SA20 league representing their name as Johannesburg Super Kings.
The South African League 20 (SA20) has many eyes on it hoping it to be a successful session. The first season of this game will be in the year 2023. SA20 game format is the same as the T20 game format. The only change is the name. In this game format, there will be a total of 6 teams with 17 players each. The Johannesburg Super Kings Team is created by Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited (CSKCL). On Thursday Johannesburg franchise in a meeting with KS Viswanathan, CEO of CSKCL declared the team name. Along with the declaration, CSKCL also revealed the logo of the team for the session. The logo is similar to the logo of the Chennai Super Kings.
KS Viswanathan, CEO of CSKCL said that they have been looking out for opportunities for the past many years to move outside and hence are hoping that SA20 will be a good start for them. He also added that they have a huge fan base in South Africa, and therefore, expect this league to be an opener for many opportunities and winnings for them.
