Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana 2022, How to Apply and Check Eligibility Criteria


The Government of Delhi has introduced the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana Scheme, through which the senior citizens or the people whose age is above 60 years would be liable for a pilgrimage tour. The entire tour is free of cost. The scheme was introduced in the year 2018 for the first time, however, the scheme was suspended during the pandemic situation for a year and a half. Till now, around 35000 people have benefited from the scheme. This year, Ayodhya is also included in the list of pilgrimage places that can be visited.

Benefit

Free Pilgrimage Tour which includes local transportation, AC train travel, AC hotel accommodation, Meals, and Insurance cover worth Rs.1 lakh.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the scheme include:

  • The applicant should be a resident of Delhi and his/her age should be 60 years or above
  • The pilgrims can be accompanied by one attendant whose age should be 21 years or more
  • Government employees cannot apply for the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana scheme
  • The annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs.3 lakhs
  • Only one pilgrimage place would be covered at a time

How to apply/do registration online

Here is the entire application process for the scheme. The entire application is carried out online.

  • Visit the online portal of e-district, https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the tab “Registration in e-District Delhi
  • Click on the tab New User
  • Select either Aadhar Card or Voter Card from the options and enter the number
  • Click on the tab “Click on to Continue”
  • A form will appear, fill out the entire form and upload required documents and scanned photograph
  • Submit the application form and note down your Registration ID and password

You can now log in to the website and submit your online application for Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana.

Check application status

Here are the steps to check your application status online:

  • Visit the official portal, https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the tab Track your application in the services section
  • Select Revenue department as the department name
  • Select the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatri Yojana
  • Enter the application number or registration number and name of the applicant
  • Enter the Captcha that appears on the screen
  • Click on tab Search and your application status would be in front of your eyes

Documents Required

The list of documents required at the time of application includes:






  • Self-Declaration form and Application form
  • Copies of a medical certificate declaring that the applicant or the spouse is fit both physically and mentally for the journey
  • Copy of Voter Card ID of Delhi
  • Copy of the certificate obtained from the minister, MLA, or even chairman of Delhi

  • 5 days to travel from Delhi to Fatehpur Sikri including Mathura, Agra, and Vrindavan
  • 4 days to travel from Delhi to Neelkanth including Haridwar and Rishikesh
  • 6 days to travel from Delhi to Udaipur including Ajmer, Nathdwara, Pushkar, and Haldighati
  • 4 days to travel from Delhi to Anandpur Sahib including Wagha Border and Amritsar
  • 5 days to travel from Delhi to Jammu including Vaishno Devi
  • 8 days to travel from Delhi to Madurai including Rameshwaram
  • 7 days to travel from Delhi to Tirupati Balaji
  • 6 days to travel from Delhi to Dwarkadhish, Nageshwar, and Somnath
  • 7 days to travel from Delhi to Jagannath Puri, Konark, and Bhubaneswar
  • 5 days to travel from Delhi to Shirdi, Shani Shinglapur, and Triyambakeshwar
  • 6 days to travel from Delhi to Ujjain and Omkareshewar

Rules and Regulations

  • If it is found that the applicant or the spouse has already availed the benefits of Mukhyamantri Tirth Yojana in the past, he or she will have to pay the entire amount of the scheme along with a 25% penalty amount
  • The applicant above the age of 60 years would be allowed to take an attendant with him/her and the age of the attendant should be more than 21 years
  • If the applicant is traveling with his/her spouse, the facilities would be provided only for one attendant
  • If under any circumstances, the applicant fails to attend the pilgrim, an intimation is to be provided before 7 days of the traveling date. In case of failure, he or she wouldn’t be liable to benefit from the scheme in the future again
  • Any kind of inflammable material, intoxicating articles, and liquor would not be allowed during the Yatra
  • The yatris would be responsible for their belongings and jewelry
  • A civilized behavior is expected from the Yatris during the Yatra and the place they are traveling
  • It is mandatory to follow the instructions given by the Liaison officer
  • The Yatra Samiti or the Government wouldn’t be answerable for any kind of mishappening or accident during the Yatra
