NCMRWF Recruitment 2021, Vacancies for Project Scientist on offer

National Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasting, also termed as NCMRWF has invited application forms for recruiting 46 vacancies for the post of Project scientists. Out of the 46 posts, 12 posts are for Project Scientists-III BCWC project, while 26 posts are for project scientist-II from NMWC project, and lastly the remaining 2 posts are for Project scientist-III BCWC project, and 6 posts of Project scientist-II BCWC project. The candidates need to fill the application form online before the last date.

Age Criteria

The higher age restricts for the candidates applying for NCMRWF recruitment 2021 is 40 years on the closing date or last date of submission.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for the NCMRWF recruitment 2021 vacancies need to meet particular educational criteria.

The candidates applying for the post of Project Scientist-III and Project Scientist-II vacancy need to hold a Master’s degree in Oceanography, Meteorology, Climate Science, Atmospheric Science, Geophysics with specialization in Mathematics, Meteorology, applied mathematics, Earth system science and technology, Statistics, and Physics. Apart from this, the candidates can also hold a Bachelor’s degree in technology in civil, engineering, computer science, mechanical, related discipline from a reputed university.

A minimum of 60 percent marks in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology or engineering.  Bachelor’s degree with mathematics or physics as subject. Seven years of experience in the field of meteorology, atmospheric science, oceanography, GIS with familiarity in Data assimilation, remote sensing, oceanic model, atmospheric model, ML or AI techniques in climate science and weather science.
