NIOS is the individual institution under the government of education. The institution offers pre-degree level education in the distance and open learning mode. Recently NIOS has published the official notification on the website for the 115 permanent posts. The application is invited for the Group A, Group B, and Group C categories. There are seven posts under the Group A category with a total number of 24 positions, Six under Group B with 48 positions, and 3 under Group with 43 positions.

Age Criteria
Age criteria are different for each post however maximum age limit is 56 years.
Application Fee
The application fee is to be paid online. Application without be wouldn’t be considered and candidates can fill one application for each post. However, the candidate is allowed to fill applications for multiple posts. The fee once paid will not be refunded. The application fee for:
Group A General and OBC – 750 INR
Group B and C General and OBC – 500 INR
Group A and B SC/ST, EWS – 250 INR
Group C SC/ST, EWS – 150 INR
Note: PWD candidate with minimum 40% disability are exempted from application fee.

- Experience in distance learning is preferable

- On deputation from central government or IA & AS

Assistant Director (Administration)
- Bachelor Degree 2nd class
- 5 years of regular service on scale of level 10
- Working knowledge of English/Hindi
- Organized conferences and seminars
- Working knowledge of computers
Accounts Officer
- Central organization accounts expert working on the post of scale of Level-10

Academic Officer

How to apply

- Read the vacancy details and click on Apply now button for the post candidate wants to apply
- Fill in all the details as per the given instructions, generate OTP for verification. After authentication fills in other details.
- After reviewing the application pay the required fee
- After paying the fee candidate cannot update the application. Therefore, make sure to fill in the correct details and review them carefully.
- After submission of the application and payment of fee unique reference number will be generated for future use.

Paper 1 – Objective test of 100 marks (General English-20 marks, General Knowledge- 20 marks, Reasoning- 15 Marks, Quantitative- 15 Marks, Subject Knowldeg-30 Marks)
Paper 2 – Descriptive test with 100 marks (General Hindi/English- Letter writing, Drafting and English Grammar- 30 Marks, Officer service rules- 40 Marks, Financial knowledge- 30 marks)
Interview – 50 marks (Candidate those clear Paper I and II will be called for the interview)
Post of EDP supervisor
Paper 1 -Objective test of 100 marks (Test of Language-25 marks, General Knowledge- 25 marks, Reasoning- 25 Marks, Quantitative- 25 Marks)
Paper 2 – Descriptive test with 150 marks (50 questions)
Skill test – 100 marks (Objective type Questions)
