PGIMER Recruitment 2021: Notification Out For Posts of Senior Resident

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research released notification for filling up 82 posts of Senior Resident, 10 posts of Jr/ Sr. Demonstration and 1 post for senior medial officer for three years. 

Important Dates

Start date of Application: 1st November 2021

End date of Application: 17th November 2021

Admit card availability Date: 27th November 2021

Computer Based Test: 3rd December 2021

Result declaration Date: 9th December 2021

Interview and assessment Notice Publication: 17th December 2021

Document Verification: 22nd December 2021

Department Interview/ Assessment: 22nd December 2021

Declaration of Final result: 30th December 2021

Age Criteria

Up to 45 years 

Age relaxation will be given as per the below-mentioned table: 

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years 
• PwBD: 10 years 
• PwBD+ SC/ST: 15 years 
• PwBD+ OBC: 13 years 
• Ex-serviceman- 5 years 
• Central Govt. Civilian Employees (General Candidate)- 5 years
• Central Govt. Civilian Employees (OBC)- 8 years 
• Central Government Civilian Employees (SC/ST)- 10 years  

Application fee

General Candidates: 1500 + Transaction Charges

SC/ST: 800 INR

PWBD: Exempted from fee

The mode of payment is Debit/ Credit/ Net banking 

Eligibility Criteria

Senior Resident of all posts

• Medical qualification as per the medical council Act. 
• Must be registered with the Central/State Medical council 
• PG degree in MD/MS in relevant specialty

Senior Resident in the Department of Dentistry

• Dental qualification included in the Part-I or Part-III
• Must be registered with the Central/State Medical council 

Senior Demonstrator

• Postgraduate degree e.g., M.Sc. in relevant subject
• MA/Ph.D. in the subject concerned

Junior/Senior Demonstrator

• M.Sc. in the respective field- Junior
• M.Sc. with Ph.D. in the subject- Senior

Junior/Senior Demonstrator (Medical, Non-Medical)

• MBBS in relevant field 
• Must be registered with State or Central Medical Council
• One year of experience – for Anatomy Junior Demonstrator and Biochemistry Junior Demonstrator

• Firstly, candidates need to register themselves then fill the application form 
• Incorrect applications will not be entertained therefore candidates need to take utmost care while filling the application form
• After filling the form candidate can take the printout for the application fee Challan. 
• No offline form will be accepted
• Candidate needs to keep the application form copy and e-challan copy for further use. 

Pay Scale

Senior Resident/ Senior Medical officer: Rs.67,700/- + NPA

Sr. Demonstrator- Medical: Rs.67,700/- + NPA

Senior Demonstrator- Non-Medical: Rs.56,100/-.

Junior Demonstrator-Medical: Rs.35,400/- + NPA.

Jr. Demonstrator- Non-Medical: Rs.35,400/-.

Selection procedure

• Computer Based Test 
• Department Assessment and Interview

The test will consist of 50 questions with 1.5 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. Based on CBT candidate will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3. After the written test there will be a department assessment and interview of 75 marks. After the written test and interview document verification will be done. Only eligible candidates will be called for the document verification and department interview and assessment.
