XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a country-level MBA entrance test held by the Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur for entrance in MBA/PGDM programmes.

XLRI holds the XAT based on XAMI. XAT is being conducted by the XLRI for more than 70 years now at the national level to pick the most appropriate candidates for further management education. Specifically the post-graduation in Master of Business Administration (MBA). The XAT score is considered by more than 160 institutes around the country to facilitate students for admission.
XAT is conducted in around 72 major cities in India like Vadodara, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Mysuru (Mysore), Nagpur, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Berhampur, Bhatinda.
Many people aspire to be admitted to the best MBA courses during their post-graduate studies. Students must first complete the XAT exam, which includes a variety of questions from four different types of sections, then a group discussion round, which brings together selected candidates for this round, and finally a personal interview with a college dean or a qualified educator appointed by the XAMI.
In addition, it is considered to be one of the hardest determination tests to be recognized in the best MBA universities. XAT scores have been awarded to 11 foundations, 83 fellow associations and more than 600 other B-schools representing XAMI.
For each correct answer in the XAT test, the candidate will earn 1 point, and for each incorrect answer, the candidate will receive a negative score of 0.25. It should also be noted that in the XAT exam if the examinee leaves more than 8 questions, each unmarked question will be deducted 0.05 points. This makes the examination very difficult according to the survey given by most students writing the examination.
